Rev Dr Mark O’Brien is a member of the Department of Biblical Studies at the Catholic Theological College, Melbourne, and lectures in Old Testament studies. Mark O’Brien holds the degrees of Bachelor of Science from the University of New England, Baccalaureate of Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum), Rome, Licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute (Rome), and Doctor of Theology from the Melbourne College of Divinity.


New Testament Commentaries

Dr Mary Coloe PBVM is a Presentation sister and Associate Professor in New Testament at the Australian Catholic University, Melbourne Campus. Her specialist research area is the Gospel of John and she is the author of two books and numerous essays and journal articles on this Gospel. She regularly teaches at Boston College and in 2011 taught at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA.

Brendan Byrne SJ is an Oxford graduate who has been Professor of New Testament at Jesuit Theological College, Melbourne, a member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission (Rome: 1990-96) and President of the Melbourne College of Divinity (2000-01). He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities and is the author of nine books.

Dianne Bergant CSA is Professor of Biblical Studies at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. She holds a BS in Elementary Education from Marian College, Fond du Lac, WI; an MA and PhD in Biblical Languages and Literature from St Louis University. She is currently working in the areas of biblical interpretation and biblical theology, particularly issues of peace, ecology, and feminism. She has also written numerous books, articles and chapters in books.
